Last Minute Halloween Costumes: Neverland

Before the fearsome fop last his hand and transformed into Captain Hook, Black Stache ruled the seven seas. For this one, you’ll need:

• Button-up shirt
• Black trousers
• Black vest
• Colorful coat — pop the collar and safety pin cords to your shoulders as epaulets!
• The pièce de résistance: the black stache! Use some makeup or facepaint to draw on a thick mustache across your upper lip with your thumb

• Striped tee shirt
• Tattered short sleeve button-up

• Temporary tattoos
• Mean mug

Forget the green tights and archer’s hat; before Peter Pan donned his iconic attire in Neverland, the Boy who would become Peter was a ragtag orphan. Dress the part:

• Tattered old teeshirt
• Loose, tattered cardigan
• Old jeans
• Boots
• A spritely spirit

It doesn’t take much to look this good! Thrift the look:

• Decorate paper plates or bowls with starfish, seashells, or sand dollars; glue or pin onto a big old bra
• Tule skirt or tutu, or even just some sparkly fabric wrapped around your legs
• Cut a tail shape out of another piece of fabric or shirt and fasten it to your waist with a belt or rope
• Don’t be shy with glitter!
