Mr. Grittner is happy to be back in a theatre and to revisit the charming family we met in Beau Jest. He is a director, artistic director, and scenery designer. He has created works for live theatre in Arizona, Idaho, Minnesota, and Colorado. Mike received Henry Nominations for scenery design in 2019 for The Boys in the Band for Vintage Theatre and in 2017 for Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike at Breckenridge Backstage. He received a 2019 True West Award for Tarzan at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse and a Boulder Camera Eye Award for God’s Ear with The Catamounts. He has served as artistic director for the Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Minnesota. In Colorado, he has directed and designed scenery for Backstage Theatre and CCT. He has designed scenery for Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, The Catamounts, CCT, Denver Children’s Theatre, Ignite Theatre, Mizel Arts and Cultural Center, Phamaly Theatre Company, and Vintage Theatre.
