Lars Preece is honored to return to Cherry Creek Theatre after being seen last as Slank/Hawking Clam in Peter and the Starcatcher. A Denver-based performing artist and floral designer, Lars has appeared on stages all across the country in Off-Broadway, experimental theatre, musical theatre, and opera productions for over twenty-five years. Prior to moving to Denver, Lars was a Resident Artist at the Tony Award-winning LaMaMa E.T.C. in New York City performing roles in The West/East Village Fragments, Ho’ichi The Earless, Dipteracon, and Raw Impressions Musical Theatre. Some favorite regional roles include Enoch Snow in Carousel (Henry Award nominated), Jason in A Grand Night for Singing, Dr. Neville Craven in The Secret Garden, Richard Henry Lee in 1776 (Performance Now Theatre Company), and John Utterson in Jekyll & Hyde (Candlelight Dinner Playhouse). Lars is also a member of the Opera Colorado Chorus and has performed with Opera on Tap, Denver Opera Collective, and The Boulder Opera Company. Other notable credits include regional premieres of Andrew Lippa’s oratorios I am Harvey Milk (Harvey Milk) and Unbreakable (Lem Billings/Man 2) with The Denver Gay Men’s Chorus, and Dom in Nathan Hall’s world premiere opera Unbound: A Gay Kink Opera.
