Cherry Creek Theatre debut. Before David’s career behind the camera, he got his start on stage acting and singing in musicals at La Comedia Dinner Theatre in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. He studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City and won regional theatre awards for his performances in Bright Ideas, The Dice House (Dayton Theatre Guild), as Leo Bloom in The Producers (Dayton Playhouse). He is a filmmaker and arts educator, and he writes, creates and tours live, multi-media productions to schools with Muse Machine, Dayton’s premier arts-education organization. His PBS children’s series, The Big Adventures of Little Ioda, won him two Heartland Emmy Awards for screenwriting and film editing.
