Anne Oberbroeckling grew up on a farm, somewhere in Iowa, a good number of years ago. She took creative dramatics classes (is that still a thing?) in grade school, got a theatre degree from Clarke College and joined the Peace Corps in Thailand. She returned to study acting at Circle in the Square in New York. She just couldn’t get it out of her system. So. Anne has worked at The Old Creamery Theatre in Iowa; The Guthrie and Mixed Blood Theatres, in Minneapolis; Country Dinner Playhouse, Curious Theatre, the Arvada Center, the Vintage Theatre, Cherry Creek Theatre, Abster Productions and BETC in Colorado. She continues to audition in hopes of making it to Broadway. Anne is full of joy to originate this role in Heartbeat of the Sun. She sends a large thank you to Susie for producing and to Melissa and Patrick for the work and the love. Steve and our cats (Buddy and Sally) have asked not to be mentioned in this bio. “It is better to be kind than to be right.” Anne’s therapist, who also does not want to be mentioned. She is working on this advice.
