Cole Porter is one of the most influential singer/songwriters in American Broadway history. Each orchestration is so clearly intentioned. We hear his wit in his lyrics. We get his tunes stuck in our heads… and we don’t mind.
His music bridges the gaps between theatre and film, cabaret and pop-culture. It was Cole’s social life, however, that truly fueled his professional life.
Red Hot & Cole feels special because it not only showcases his songbook but also gives a peek into the vibrant, complicated life he led, as well as those who influenced him the most.
The music of Cole Porter has been peppered throughout my life. His music is a part of my story, and I’m so honored to be able to help shed a light on his story for you with this immensely talented cast, creative team, and crew. Enjoy the show!
